Reno Rally for Religious Liberty

Rally CrowdAbout 350 people showed up to protest the HHS mandate and stand up for religious liberty.  The rally started at noon in front of the Federal Building in Reno.  Bishop Randolph Calvo gave the invocation, Sarah Beasley led the Pledge of Allegiance, and we heard from several passionate speakers.  Brigid Pierce of Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada told us about the impacts on the local community if the HHS mandate stands as law.  Pastor Brent Brooks of Reno Christian Fellowship, Eve McNeil, Fr Francisco Nahoe, rector of St Thomas Aquinas Cathedral, Mary Ann Weisinger of the Diocese of Oakland, and Pastor Steve Bond of Summit Christian Church all gave wonderful talks.

Several local news outlets covered the event.  One is at the News 4 website.

Thanks to everybody for standing up for religious freedom!
