Religious Freedom victories in four states–Nevada could be #5

In this press release by the American Religious Freedom Program of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, four states have enacted religious freedom protections for citizens.

The Kansas Preservation of Religious Freedom Act became law on the 10th of April.  Kentucky enacted a similar law, the Kentucky Religious Freedom Act, in March, over the veto of the governor.

Idaho passed the Campus Access for Religious Students law and Virginia enacted the Student Group Protection Act.  These laws enable student faith groups on campus to choose their leadership in accordance with the principles of their faith.

Nevada’s Preservation of Religious Freedom Act is progressing through the legislature.  We could make this a fifth victory for religious liberty.
